3 women found dead along Kennon Road

Benguet -- Police are investigating if three women found dead along Kennon Road
in Barangay Bangar in Rosario town in La Union if they were drug suspects. Chief
Insp. Bernabe Oribello, Rosario police chief, said a resident discovered the
bodies at around 10 a.m.
The faces of two of the victims were wrapped
in packing tape like most drug suspects slain by suspected vigilantes.
Oribello said the victims could have been
killed somewhere else.
Meanwhile, agents of the Philippine Drug
Enforcement Agency arrested several “high-value” drug pushers in stings in
Luzon in the past two days.
Among those nabbed was Eduardo Cabanban Jr.,
councilor of Barangay Sto. Rosario in San Juan town in La Union.
A raid on Cabanban’s house yielded sachets of
shabu, drug paraphernalia and equipment used to repack shabu, PDEA agents said.
In Bulacan, Eduardo Gregorio Jr., 30, alias
Astig, was arrested in a sting in Barangay Lumang Bayan in Plaridel.
At least 50 grams of shabu with an estimated
street value of P240,000 and marked money were recovered from Gregorio, said
